Creation story activities

October 27, 2012 By Ticia 2 Comments

Let me give you a peek into what an ideal week looks like for our Family discipleship, this rarely happens, but this one week it worked out perfectly.  Many of the suggestions for our family Bible study could also be used in a Sunday School class (and I have done so).

We read the story together.  We actually read it several times over the week in different versions.  What’s the point of having several children’s Bibles if you don’t use them all?

We sort our days of Creation bean bags (directions to make Creation Bean Bags) into the different days God created things.

We cleaned up the park near our neighborhood.  It was amazing to me how much trash there was in such a short period of time.  This park opened up in April, and we easily found enough trash to fill a grocery bag.

We made a things God created collage.  Of course they took the broadest definition of it all and decided that God created “everything!”  So it was an interesting assortment of stuff.
