My little Princess turned SEVEN!
How can this be? I mean it was only yesterday she was a little bitty baby (okay, not so little at 8 lbs 10 oz), or a toddler walking around, and now she’s a great big 7.
She’s been a bundle of fun all these years. If she loves something it is with all her heart, and she will do anything for it. She passionate about everything and those emotions come through.
Sometimes to the great frustration of her poor over-worked Mom, but the same emotions that cause her to tear up one moment are what causes her to be smiling the next.
This coming year I’ve got all sorts of goals for you to work on and with.
I want to refine your sewing skills and have you actually construct a pattern.
We’re going to work on self-control. Those same strong passions can lead you somewhere dangerous when you’re 15. Right now they sometimes earn you a timeout, but at 15 with more freedoms and more choices. Better to suffer a brief discomfort now.
You can’t wait to be a lady, and know more about being a LADY, so I’ll have to think about that somewhat. Part of your persistence is learning how to cook more. So, I need to think of the next steps in cooking for you to learn. I don’t even know what that is, but I need to figure it out. Maybe making Mac and Cheese?
All of this to say happy birthday to my happy little Princess from your family and friends (not all of whom are pictured here, but that’s most who came last night, you’re second birthday celebration is in 2 weeks).
I love you.
