Bluebonnets 2018!
Every year I look forward to Bluebonnet season and getting our annual bluebonnet pictures. Every year I have this idea it will go perfectly. This year we had a lot of rain in the fall and a fair amount early in spring so our bluebonnets were AMAZING! Unfortunately for me every time I went to get pictures, it went from slightly overcast and a perfect day for bluebonnet pictures to blindingly bright and all the pictures I was in my eyes are closed or I’m squinting super a lot, but I got some great pictures of the kids.
Superman bluebonnet pictures
For each of the kids I wanted to get a picture that really showed who they are. This picture is completely and totally Superman. He’s got his Gandalf hat, he’s wearing his obnoxious shirt under the Superman shirt I wanted a picture of him in. He’s also got the sippy cup he bought at the zoo. He thinks it’s hilarious.
As you can see he’s my super silly kid, and he has lots of fun being that kid.
Batman’s bluebonnet pictures
It takes a lot of time to get a picture of this boy smiling. He’s my serious child, but I did get this picture of him.
Even if he is my serious boy, I did get some great shots of him. I love the picture of him running, he’s happy as a clam. We compromised on his hat, he got to keep it on, I made him push it way back on his head so I could see his face. We were both kind of happy.
Princess bluebonnet pictures
Princess loves pictures and taking pictures, so I had lots and lots of pictures to choose from. This picture rather perfectly captures her. She’s got her unicorn necklace, she’s wearing the purse she made, a stuffed animal, a fun hair bow she got, and her favorite butterfly.
All these pictures show so much of her personality. I love it.
Group shots and bluebonnet pictures for me
My eyes are slightly open in this shot, it’s the best I got, but I do like it overall. However, I loved our group shots I got.
Look at those super awesome group shots!
But, this is my absolute favorite shot from all of my attempts, but there’s not a bluebonnet in sight.

This is a great tradition to see how kids change and grow every year. They look so grown up and still so silly 🙂
I know, it’s amazing to me how they are both so very very grown up, and yet still so young.
