For this Raising of Lazarus game, all you need are a few energetic kids and some toilet paper rolls. We did this for a Backyard Bible Club, but it could easily be done in a Sunday School class.

Oh, and a “willing” volunteer or two to be Lazarus. The teens at our church are such good sports.
Raising of Lazarus game rules

- Each team starts a certain distance from “Lazarus”
- Decide on the level of difficulty, for this group of mostly younger kids, they just had to wrap around the whole body, but the older kids had to wrap each arm and leg separately
- Set a number of times they can wrap the toilet paper around the person. We set it at 5 times for a nice, easy number to say

And at the end, you can cry out “Lazarus Come forth,” just like Jesus did, and Lazarus can:
Emerge from the grave!
As you can imagine this was wildly popular!
Of course this game goes with our Mary, Martha, and Lazarus lesson.
